Charles Blake

Charles Blake is a political scientist, strategist, civil servant, and skilled communicator. Blake became Mayor Frank Scott Jr’s Chief of Staff after he stepped down as the Minority Leader of the Arkansas House of Representatives and State Representative for District 36. Blake served three terms in the state legislature. Blake has managed and led multiple successful legislature and city-wide political campaigns.

Blake attended Little Rock Central High School, then graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa, majoring in Political Science. After graduation, he returned to Arkansas, where he worked in banking and finance before serving as a founding administrator of Little Rock Preparatory Academy. He ran for office in 2014, winning a seat in the state House of Representatives. Blake was named one of Arkansas’ 250 Most Influential Leaders in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 by Arkansas Business.
